Online applications – a cutting-edge solution for the Italian State Police
Once again, the online application system Ripam StepOne, designed by FormnezItalia to streamline the application and admissions process, has proven to be successful! The Italian State Police has thus experienced the right way of streamlining competition procedures, reducing downtime and human errors and saving costs.
Currently, there are three ongoing open competitions enrolling candidates through the web-based procedure. Vice-Prefect Giancarlo Dionisi, director of the Human Resource Development Office at the Department of Public Safety, proudly comments: “A true success. Applicants showed to be enthusiastic about the new system, which simplifies the process and encourages applications.”
Before the official agreement between the State Police and FormezItalia, the recruitment procedure was sill based on traditional methods, particularly costly and time-consuming.
“We are now able to arrange pre-selection sessions, immediately after the closing date” Giancarlo Dionisi continues “thus cutting on costs and disputes”.
“Within one year, access to documents, notifications and convocations will be completely processed on the Internet” he concludes.
There has been a further positive side effect: the easy-to-use system has attracted a large number of applicants, with total 35,000 applications forwarded to the first two open competitions.
At the State Police, however, they are confident: such a big number of applications to create a pool of talents.
